Pick N Mix Recruitment are seeking experienced support workers to provide care and support for vulnerable people in a supported living settings.

Role and responsibility includes:

  • Promoting independence
  • Providing assistance with daily activities
  • Prompting and supporting with personal care
  • Preventing and reducing risk of harm
  • Liaise with outside agencies and other professionals
  • General housekeeping
  • Facilitating social activities
  • Monitoring and maintaining records
  • To support Service Users to access appropriate health care provision enabling them to make an informed choice regarding any prescribed treatment, seeking advice where necessary

Essential requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience working as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or similar role
  • Provide satisfactory professional references
  • Enhanced DBS - Preferably on update service or new application cost of £66.00
  • Providing person centered support and able to promote independent living
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • To assist Service Users with activities of daily living
  • General housekeeping
  • Facilitating social activities
  • Maintaining records
  • Providing support Service Users to access appropriate health care provision
